Lesson 012: Porting an XHTML Template to Drupal (Demystifying Drupal Themes) \[18'07\] In hopes to bring people up to speed on Drupal themeing quickly, or give insight to people who are curious about themeing in Drupal, this episode takes a plain XHTML/CSS template from oswd.org, compares it with the Blue Marine theme, plugs in a few essential variables, and creates ports the theme to Drupal (with some inconsitencies, and without support for various Drupal features such as a site logo, etc.) read more

It just scratches the surface but shows how to modify the Blue Marine theme at the page.tpl.php + css level.
